Sweet, spicy, slightly savory with sesame

My first try of the other of the two newest releases from Navitus Parfums, The Embrace, a sweet, spicy, and even slightly savory mix featuring sesame, coffee, vanilla, woods, honey, and citruses. The sesame figures especially prominently into my experience of it, particularly the opening, after which it is still very noticeable but much more harmoniously with sweeter and woodier notes. Overall, it’s a fairly balanced, high-performing perfume that has some intrigue but does not require too much to work to enjoy, and I like that about it.

Compared to the existing catalogue, The Embrace seems most similar to Exalt Nuit and (especially, and I promise it’s not due to the bottle color) Soir Exclusif, each sweet-and-spicy releases in their own right from the Enamoured Collection, released in September 2020. The Embrace strikes me as a less extreme (that is, not as absolutely spicy or sweet) alternative to Soir Exclusif, which has a very sweet marshmallow note and spicy/bitter licorice note. The Embrace, by contrast, feels a little more consistent throughout, still with plenty of nuance and character, and perhaps not as sweet overall as Soir Exclusif.

Currently, The Embrace is only sold on the Navitus Parfums website and is the standard pricing of $195 for 100ml in parfum concentration.
