... and unfortunately completely missed the mark.
I have been following the influencer Farina Opoku for a long time and as a marketing expert, I was immediately hooked (yes, I know - I should really know better :D) and ordered blindly.
When the scent arrived, I was unfortunately just disappointed. And even a bit disgusted, I must say. The scent just smells shabby - very overpowering, artificial. Since I had sprayed it on just as blindly as I had bought it, I thought: well, let's see. Maybe it will get better. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), the scent had already completely faded for me after about 1.5 hours.
I am curious to see what will be said about her current new scent (Fari Island). I definitely won't be buying it :D!
I was a bit disappointed :/ I bought the scent blind… it does last quite a while on me, but I expected something different from a clean fragrance… I'm also curious about the new scent. I won't be buying this one. I don't think the price-to-quality ratio is good :( but I still find Farina likable.
In my opinion, Farina is totally fake. I would never watch her content and definitely wouldn’t buy anything she recommends. But hey, to each their own, of course. 😅
I partially agree with you.
As one of the first real influencers, she has significantly shaped the industry and, in a way, my youth. By now, she’s clearly older and probably can’t deny that money doesn’t stink, and everyone in the business is somewhat for sale if the right opportunities come along. But she has really worked hard for a long time and made a name for herself.
From a pure marketing POV, you can’t overlook her, and her manager is quite renowned in the social media business. That’s something you have to acknowledge, whether you like her or not.
But well - since I also (still) don’t have the greatest knowledge of perfumes, I probably should have checked this out earlier and listened to the pros :D - now I know better.
