The fragrance initially smells of saffron and sage, spicy, herbaceous with a subtle creaminess in the background. Iris joins shortly after. I would have also suspected cardamom or pepper, but the impression likely comes only from the interplay of the existing scent notes.
The herbaceous quality slowly fades away.
After 15-25 minutes, the vanilla becomes clearly recognizable, and the scent becomes sweeter.
Amber provides warmth and perfectly complements the fragrance with its balsamic and resinous properties. Saffron takes a bit of a backseat. The iris blooms softly, becoming softer, more powdery (and earthy).
After 60-90 minutes, little remains of the initial notes; a creamy and slightly sweet vanilla with amber remains, earthy, warm, balsamic with a subtle spiciness.
After a few hours, only the creamy, sweet vanilla and amber are left.
A spray from the manufacturer sample has a longevity of 7-8 hours, the sillage is not overwhelming, but present, becoming more intimate from the creamy-vanilla part.
