The Holy Three Perfume Girls
I had previously branded Organic Perfume Girl as a typical US indie brand, without knowing the fragrances and without wanting to delve further into them. At some point, I received the first scent from the brand, and I liked it. However, it didn't linger on my skin for too long. This fleeting pleasure didn't impress me sustainably, but I had to revise my judgment about the brand. Now I received Sacred Resins, holy resins, and what can I say? This scent lasts a long time and inspires me to jot down a few words.
Three times incense, four times myrrh. What sounds like the order of the three wise men back then is here the list of ingredients of the present fragrance. Aside from the Egyptian myrrh, we only travel to Oman, Yemen, and Somalia. For safety reasons, especially regarding the latter country, of course, only in imagination.
Now I could talk for a long time about how Sacred Resins is structured, but I will refrain from that at this point. This perfume is simply what it contains. Olfactorily exactly that. So simple, so beautiful and multifaceted, so deeply profound. The Somali incense dominates the entire fragrance. Dark, captivating, but also smooth. Myrrh-typical citrus characteristics blend in. Rather subliminal, they serve to perfect the scent. The Omani incense is mild; after several hours, the overall composition almost becomes creamy.
Enough words: those who like incense will find a gem here, as it is not only a very multifaceted representative of this genre, but Sacred Resin is also wonderfully blended.
