How a small recession can change your life ..
Well, admittedly - this title is a bit of clickbait, but at least it has changed the summer a little, and I've gained a loyal companion. But more on that later...
In Europe, the Osma brand is still extremely unknown and very difficult to find. That's a shame, because the fragrances are very unique, not duplicates, of very good quality and, above all, great value for money! And, who would have thought it, the Saudis can make perfume just as well and are in no way inferior to the endless brands from the U.A.E.
But how did I come across this fragrance in the first place? On my Dubai vacation this year, I was of course on a perfume hunt, nothing could stop me. Swiss Arabian, Lattafa, Rasasi - I just wanted to try them all. Because when do you ever get the chance to smell or test so many at once?
After several fragrance sessions, I had at least as many shopping bags in my hand. I was fed up, well literally. But my friend noticed a small store in the mall: Osma. Admittedly, the bottles were very uniform and I found them very aesthetically pleasing, reminding me a little of Louis Vuitton. So my interest was a little piqued. But I had no desire to test the hundredth LV dupe. No, my nose can't take that anymore...
So I thought: I'll have a look here. Maybe someone has written a review about a fragrance so that I don't have to try them all, but I didn't have high hopes.
To my surprise, the Osma brand was actually represented. Not with all the fragrances, but well, that should be enough.
So I started scrolling and LaWood's review caught my eye. He raved about Positano. So I thought: what the heck - let's try it too. Luckily!!!!!
Sprayed on: The fragrance starts with a very pronounced jasmine note. This fades as it progresses, but never leaves you! There is also sandalwood, which makes the fragrance softer and creamier, as well as a very subtle pepper note that rounds off this heavenly masterpiece.
Yes - truly a delight, this fragrance! Absolutely unisex and I would probably also like it on a woman. The longevity is good. After 2-3 hours it becomes very close to the skin and lasts on the skin for about 5-6, maybe even 7 hours. I would describe the sillage - except for the first two hours - as rather moderate, although it is still present beyond that.
The fragrance comes from a special collection of the brand, which also includes Capri and Portofino. These are also an absolute recommendation and worth a separate entry when the opportunity arises!
What I haven't talked about yet is the bottle. I don't know either, but I'll say this: I haven't seen a prettier one yet. This also applies to the other two mentioned above. Those little Italian villages on the bottles - wow!
To summarize:
A must for everyone - on your next visit to the Orient!
Thanks to LaWood, thank you for reading!
