Freesia Freshness on a Tahiti Tour!
Strange headline? Indeed! But it is meant sincerely and inspired by the sense of smell. A little wordplay to start, but that's how it is!
Flowers play a big role, with the freesia taking the lead, daring a "threesome" with green apple and bergamot tea. Quite "decent" with a spring factor. But what spring initiates soon turns into summer.
Roses bloom in vibrant colors and settle on the last violets that remain in the protective moss, encouraging them to scent. Madame Freesia and Lord Bergamot still have a fresh and cheerful oversight, but they retreat a bit into the background due to the approaching warmth. They then leave part of the refuge to tropical coconut shavings, which become friendly with a hint of "Caribbean sea." I think this is due to the way the fragrance notes are combined, as neither coconut nor "Caribbean" is listed in the fragrance pyramid. My "suspects" are amber and cedar in the base, which team up with violets and a bit of musk, making the freesia ultimately "tropical" and leaving a pleasantly fragrant olfactory "Tahiti effect." The scent itself "doesn't know" what it's doing, as only the nose interprets it this way. And what it perceives is not ordinary and is quite pleasing :-))
