Banthaat Oxford Ouds

I visit a small but old workshop in the Harz, deeply hidden where intricate objects are carved from eagle wood. You see no one, and everything seems to happen on its own. In one corner, wood shavings fly through the air; next to it lies smooth wood, bent into a horn, a dancing brush made of musk animal bristles glues the pieces together, and to dry, they fly over the warm fireplace. I am fascinated by how clean everything smells; the surface is now sealed with incense resin. There are also two copper runners on top, now shining in the autumn light, standing in yellow leaves and waiting for the snow.

Such a beautiful oud, very gentle without notable animalic notes, bright, clean, dry wood like in the workshop, strong and robust, light woody like firewood, smooth and soft.
Terpenes like glue or varnish, aromatic and resinous with a hint of leaf. Oud becomes more contemplative and intense with mini musk and leather facets; dark incense clouds like smoke lay over it, a light amber glow still flickers in the fireplace. The air is crystal clear, surrounded by the lukewarm autumn wind; the snow is not far away, and the cabin is pleasantly warm.
