Iced Tea and Women "Staring from the Corners of the Eyes"
Once again a strange title? Perhaps, but the scent reminds me of situations where I sit in a café somewhere in the summer and order one of those delicious, homemade iced teas (yes, it doesn't always have to be a cold beer, tsss…!!!) to refresh myself, especially here in Frankfurt. Typically, this is brought by a pretty waitress who naturally attracts most of the male gazes. Of course, one always pretends not to notice "various physical details," but let's be honest, men do notice, even if they don't want to admit it. Naturally, this can also be done quite skillfully, without any macho-type guys with their shirts wide open (and overgrown, eye-catching chest hair) winking and grinning stupidly just because one happened to glance back!
Well, since not only singles like me but also quite a few taken guys get quickly distracted by visual stimuli, I try not to let it show, so I can discreetly catch a glimpse or two. Because as Jay said in the Steve Carell movie "40-Year-Old Virgin": "You have to look at them from the corners of your eyes!" I try to implement this advice,… whether I succeed, you'll find out after the scent description. And why this story now? Well, the scent, especially the opening, reminded me a bit of homemade iced teas, and I like to drink iced teas (AND TEA!!!),… and yes,… I do occasionally glance at your behinds, ladies,… no wait, I meant I look after you and then one sees the behind and,… um… I mean… oh just read the scent description…
A little later, the first woody notes come into play, which fit excellently with the citrus fruits. The jasmine might provide a slightly sweet scent in the background, even though you can't really smell the jasmine itself.
Otherwise, the scent mainly remains herb-woody with a light citrus note, which from now on scents more from the background starting from the base.
The longevity is… well, let's put it this way: The scent lasts as long as it takes to finish a glass of iced tea… No, seriously, the scent doesn't last particularly long (about two to three hours).
Well, it is summer. Everyone is dressed lightly and casually (yeah!). A paradise for all guys (but also women, you don't need to deny it!!), because everywhere you look (especially from a male perspective, yes yes…) you see legs, breasts, and behinds! And, um,… well,… also feet (… let's not forget you errant foot fetishists here! Even if you would never admit it! But no panic, if this embarrasses you,… the great filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is also in your camp, that freak :D). But I digress, where was I?
Oh yes, after the waitress keeps coming and going and serving, I try to look at her from the corners of my eyes. To do this, I turn a little to the side and see directly into the face of the chest-hair-monster macho type, but I block that out and focus on my women-staring-from-the-corners-of-the-eyes practice… well… and now? Somehow it doesn't seem to be working. Because instead of the waitress, I see a ficus,… it could also be some tree, with my botanical knowledge I'm never sure… argh! :DD
Since this isn't working out for me, I quickly pay and leave, because I, shy as I am, would otherwise just turn completely red and act ridiculously, which would then end with the aforementioned long-haired chest monster not only laughing at me but also having luck with the lady *sigh*
Anyway, Eau de St Barth is a nice but slightly short-lived summer scent that is refreshingly pleasant and should appeal to all those who like short skirts… I meant those who enjoy iced teas and citrusy herbal and woody scents. It may not be suitable for going out, as it is really weak, but it is perfect as a daytime scent or a scent for leisure. Just as suitable for a quick refreshment. Perfect for these currently scorching hot days!
Okay, it may not smell 100% like pure iced tea (actually, only the top note is iced tea-like), as the herbal notes are a bit strong, but it does smell like refreshing drinks with many "various" leaves in them.

The Scent:
The scent begins with a fresh and cool (and thus refreshing) lemon note, mixed with green tea, which indeed reminds one a bit of those refreshing drinks, meaning the aforementioned homemade iced teas with some herbal leaves in them, which is quite tasty. These herbal leaves make the scent… you can guess it: herbier!
The Sillage and Longevity:
So, the sillage is rather weak. Of course, it is noticeable at first, as with all scents, but the projection quickly loses strength and can then, if at all, only be sniffed from very close by. The longevity is… well, let's put it this way: The scent lasts as long as it takes to finish a glass of iced tea… No, seriously, the scent doesn't last particularly long (about two to three hours).
The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and tall. The cap is gold-plated and cylindrical. There is no label. The name of the scent is written on the front of the bottle, along with the brand name and logo. The light turquoise fragrance liquid makes the bottle look particularly nice and fresh for summer. Well, it is summer. Everyone is dressed lightly and casually (yeah!). A paradise for all guys (but also women, you don't need to deny it!!), because everywhere you look (especially from a male perspective, yes yes…) you see legs, breasts, and behinds!
