Kaheela Platinum VS Le Beau Le Parfum
As a big fan of the JPG Le Beau line, I actually own the original instead of the dupe.
My brother also loves this DNA, but he ultimately decided on the dupe.
This is great for me, as I can compare Kaheela Platinum with "Le Beau Le Parfum | Jean Paul Gaultier."
Opening: in the opening, I don't smell any coconut yet.
Instead, there's a lot of ginger and a slight fruitiness from the pineapple, along with some cypress.
Definitely completely different from the JPG, fresher and simpler in structure.
Completely different is the "Le Beau Le Parfum | Jean Paul Gaultier," which starts sweeter; ginger is not as prominent here as in Kaheela, but the pineapple is juicier and more authentic.
I also perceive amber, which is nowhere to be found in the dupe.
DD: Kaheela Platinum remains very linear; the scent becomes a bit woodier. Coconut? No trace of it, one smells something slightly tropical, but coconut? Maybe with a lot of imagination, but even then I would say rather no.
Le Beau Le Parfum, on the other hand, handles the coconut well, although it's a bit synthetic, I still smell coconut here.
Tonka bean and pineapple accompany this delicious, sweet coconut until the end.
Sandalwood provides a creamy woodiness that gives the scent a slightly masculine touch.
So the differences are there, yet I would rate the similarity at 50%.
Performance: against the original, the Paris Corner doesn't stand a chance.
In a 1:1 comparison, I really only perceive the JPG.
Qualitatively, it's also a difference like night and day.
The price difference is also significant.
My conclusion: those who like the original should not hope for a 1:1 dupe here.
It's more of a scent that slightly reminds one of Le Beau / Le Beau Le Parfum, but nothing more.
I am more than satisfied with the original, and I definitely won't be getting the dupe.
Nevertheless, it's not a bad perfume if you don't expect a dupe of the JPG.
