Great Animalic with Maritime Drydown
Amoral starts off distinctly animalic, slightly citrusy, a bit medicinal, somewhat smoky, and a touch fruity. At first, the sillage seemed rather weak to me, but that's misleading. As time went on, fragrant wafts appeared that were not too overpowering but still robust.
In the heart note, it became clear to me why Amoral is compared to Alexandria 2: a subtle hairspray scent emerged, which I found acceptable and not dominating.
This faded away as the fragrance developed, and the perfume became increasingly mineral, almost like motor oil, so the black bottle is well chosen.
I particularly enjoyed the drydown, which had a beautifully strong maritime note. The animalic aspect accompanies the wearer practically until the drydown, with which it then merges into the maritime finish, nicely done.

The animalic notes sound fabulous.
