Carnation paradise
The fragrance starts with a brief light green like freshly cut cloves from the garden.
The cloves come swiftly to bring a warm, spicy aura. A slightly woody breeze blows, I sit in the shade of the cedar on my beloved wooden bench, pour myself a Darjeeling tea and read Émile Zola's "The Paradise of Ladies".
The aniseed cookies and cloves smell from the wooden bowl.
I found the following (abridged) information at Cleopatra's Boudoir:
The Parfumerie L. Plassard from Paris was originally founded in 1815 as Demarson (founded by Francois Demarson), later Demarson et Cie and other variations of the name. The perfume, soap and cosmetics house was located at 17 rue de Quatre-Septembre, Paris.
The company exhibited regularly at " l'exposition universale" in 1817, 1819, 1823, 1839, 1844, 1849, 1855, 1867, 1878 and 1889 under various names over the years.
1894 Louis Plassard took over and renamed the business accordingly.
1910 - Company seems to have dropped the subtitle Demarson-Chetelet
