That's quite intense, the combination of overripe fruity and menthol, plus it's vaguely crafted. Nasty. It reminds me of Bohemian Boudoir, which, freshly decanted for me by a perfumer, mostly smelled like the carrier oil. When the bottle was new, it was probably much clearer and actually smelled like something ;) I can imagine this happens with some self-taught perfumers; there's a lack of a lasting formulation.
I admire artisan fragrances for their courage and naturalness. When they're good, they're really good. But often, they’re just bold experiments that don’t quite hit the mark.
I didn't think it was bad at all, even though I usually struggle with fruity scents. It faded quickly for me, but then it turned out quite nice in the end.
Besides the questionable craftsmanship, which seems very blurry and unclear, I wonder if they distill their own raw materials. It comes off too strictly ethereal and sharp-fresh like menthol or medicine. Some notes are hardly recognizable. Overall, it’s a fruitchouli with overripe, fermenting fruits and damp earth. Even the bat from Zoologist would be startled by this. Plus, it leaves dark stains on the skin. Just be careful not to let it touch your clothes. Not even Mr. Clean can help with that.
Thanks to Chizza for the opportunity to test it.
That reminds me of the movie: East of Eden!
Just get me out of here!
