Of Spies and Heroines

Women are the stronger sex! We can multitask! We wrap them around our fingers! We have children! We show emotions! We can drive better! We have better taste! We are crueler than the cruelest man! We are the better spies and we are heroines! Yes!

The French title speaks of the "Spies of the Tsar," while the English one refers to the "Secret Heroines of the Tsar" (Les Espionnes du Tsar & The secret Heroines of the Tsar). Was there a disagreement at the Roméa d'Améor house? No matter, the scent has something.

While I can't perceive any fruits, nor anything citrusy, I don't miss it either. After an initial somewhat alcoholic note, the fragrance immediately becomes floral, specifically jasmine floral. Directly on the skin, I can detect a slightly metallic note, but due to the - rather weak - sillage, I perceive a beautiful, jasmine-dominated, very fine scent.

Among the spies of the Tsar, on their way from St. Petersburg to Versailles, I had imagined something stronger, spicier, more intense. I was surprised that such a beautiful, fine, and feminine fragrance emerged.

Even the base is so finely composed that the jasmine-dominated heart note does not drown in it but is instead supported and extended.

The scent has one flaw - it lasts too short for my taste. It must have been a rather short and quick journey from Russia to France. Nevertheless, I gave it 80% because it is truly just beautiful.

I am very happy about this (of course once again) blind purchase and will gladly use it.

Could it be that the scent changes often? I've tested it for the 3rd time now: nice fragrance, but really fruity. I have a new sample, hmm?

Keep dreaming! :) No one can multitask; that's been scientifically proven by now, and as for the rest, it's all just old wives' tales! :))))
