Cotton Vanilla Rue Madam

Admittedly, I was skeptical when I first saw the notes of Cotton Vanilla. Too good to be true. It can't be that someone finally dared to tackle this wonderful composition. Although the name suggests vanilla, you get a creamy sweet tonka bean. But let's start from the beginning:

The fragrance opens fruity and a bit tropical. Both the peach and the coconut milk are still quite natural, even though they are very sweet. Together, the notes create a wonderfully sweet, lactonic composition that one can easily imagine as a peach milkshake or creamy ice cream. In the dry down, a sweet tonka bean and sweet caramel join in, slowly overshadowing the peach-coconut milkshake.

Overall, a sweet, playful fragrance that smells exactly like the notes suggest. A great summer gourmand without floral notes and without being intrusive or overloaded.
