Very helpful Review
What a Shame
Today I held it in my hands; my long-awaited package...
I searched for a long time for the name of the fragrance I wore during my confirmation classes, and then, by chance, I found it here again (through the perfume pictures from Hasi)...or so I thought.
I remembered the scent, which was first sold in 1989 under Naj Oleari,
a very interesting fresh and sweet fragrance for me back then...sometimes my nose still remembers it, but unfortunately not well enough to describe individual notes...but unfortunately well enough that I had to realize today that not only the bottle has changed, but also the scent inside it.
Now to the current fragrance, ...it reminds me of White Musk from the Body Shop; in my opinion, a gentle, skin-close scent that is not intrusive. I'm also not so sure if the aforementioned fragrance pyramid fits the new scent, as I don't smell much floral...dominating for my nose are white musk, vanilla, and something rough that I would attribute to sandalwood.
All in all, a nice fragrance that certainly has its right to exist...only unfortunately it has little to do with the vintage scent Naj-Oleari..(unless I still haven't found the right perfume from my confirmation class times..).
Anyone who wants to part with their vintages can feel free to contact me ;)
Edit 2017: my dear husband had auctioned off the vintage for me, and this scent is my confirmation fragrance. Fresh and similar to Eternity, at least in terms of freshness. I think the vintage fits the pyramid, while the current one does not. As I said, the new version smells quite similar to White Musk from BS or WM from Jovan. The vintage was definitely more interesting.
