Pretty and Wallet Friendly

I'm surprised no one has reviewed this yet. Santal and Vetiver is a delightful woody/powdery/violet composition that I was surprised to find myself in love with when I tried.

Usually when the word "vetiver" is used I am cautious because those usually make a fragrance more overtly masculine than I prefer. But this scent goes straight down the middle. Not too much one way or the other, and a very straightforward scent with very reasonable longevity for the price point.

It definitely reminds me of Santal 33, and in a good way.

I have both the body spray and the body lotion and often use them as a "appetizer" scent when I know I want to wear Hermessence Paprika Brasil later on, but Santal&Vetiver is just fine as an end fragrance too, rather than a starter.

I actually first tried it because I have my one (big) bottle of Paprika Brasil which is (sadly) discontinued and S&V has a violet note in it just as Paprika Brasil does from its brasil wood component. In fact, it almost makes me wonder if Paprika Brasil (2004) was the originator of the genre for the Santal 33 DNA (2011) as JCE was also the originator of the apple pie spice genre with Ambre Narguile (2004) well before Angel's Share (2020) as well.

Now at least, when I run out of my big bottle of PB, I will have something that I also love with the woody/powder/violet note in it to keep in my collection.
