Knize Ten tailored for the Sultan
I don't easily give a 10/10, but let me say...you don't easily get an excellent Leather Perfume, do you?
At the end of the day what we have in terms of "Leathery Scent" is something that directly depends from Birchtar (Hyde, Lonestar Memories ecc), Isobutyl Quinoline (Ombre Leather, London, C-woody Leather etc), Labdanum (le Lion, Anubis etc) and, when you are fortunate, Castoreum (Cuirtis, Fetish etc).
But, in anyway, what's the point with this big fragrance family? Is there any sort of primitive Leathery Scent?..My answer is, there are two...the "warm" one, whose name is Cuir de Russie, and the "cold" one, whose name is Knize Ten..
You can have your preferences, or love the two instead, but honestly all the modern stuff turn around these two progenitors.
Cuir Sultan is, easily I would say, the modern Knize Ten tailored for a very whealthy Arabian gentleman: it opens with fresh and spicy lavender and sparkling fruits, absolute quality, just to give this English, polished, sensational feeling of freshness, and then you enter into a caleidoscopic experience of flowers and dry leather, enriched in a gigantic way with every possible beauty - you get ambergris, deer musk, civet and white oud in a cologne-derivated perfume, I mean..that's luxurious for sure, but not extravagant or rude, in fact it's dry and classy, like a cosmopolitan gentleman. It's western and oriental at the same time, but premium quality.
When you imagine a perfume, what's actually to you? To me it's something in between the cultures, it is polite, it is wild, it is fresh and it smells like a man.
Thanks to SJA, this is real Leather.
