Pistachio Santo
I’ll be honest, when this scent first came out, I ignored it because I thought it was another boring / basic vanilla making its debut to the fragrance community. It was only until recently that I checked the note breakdown and saw what lovely notes came together to make this scent.
Heal The Way is a sweet, woody/nutty gourmand fragrance that is sooo comforting. It’s quite gourmand in the opening, but as the scent dries down, the palo santo does come out quite a bit and really balances all the sweetness out. However, the dry down takes a bit too long for me to arrive to and as someone who is a fan of more dry/realistic/unisex woodies, this one is just a bit too gourmand for me. I think the vanilla tipped the scale just a bit, making it sweeter than I had hoped. What I will say is that the sticking power and longevity are there (lasted on my arm even after showering!!), and the sillage is moderately good for a softer scent. I can see why this fragrance appeals to so many, especially with the challenge around pistachio scents. This a great one if you’re looking for a balanced gourmand scent with a touch of woods.
Snif is great cause it accessible and affordable, and while HTW may not be for me, I think gourmand lovers looking to transition into woods will love this and I can definitely appreciate its beauty, from the packaging all the way down to the scent.
