So far in my fragrance journey Koh Larn is among the best oud I have smelled. I usually deter from overly dark or spicy ouds and this one goes in a more tropical direction.
It is very sweet and syrupy, fruity and mystical. Starts with ripe apricots that give this jammy sweetness, followed by slight florals and spices. In the drydown, sweetness tones down a bit and the syrupy aspect comes forward just so slightly with noticeable tangy notes.
If I smelled this randomly on someone I would not even say that it is oud. Clean-distilled and very easy to wear and reach for (not clogging), even year-around. I have tried many Thai ouds but this one takes the cake!
