Sour limes
freshly squeezed from
herbaceous peels.
Peppery warmth

Fresh limes? Definitely. But it gets a bit more complex. A bitter-citrusy start with a noticeable acidity from freshly squeezed citrus fruits and a distinctly herbal zest. The limes come across really authentically here. Green, herbal notes accompany it, along with a subtle spiciness that gradually becomes more pronounced and beautifully integrates with the citrus acidity. Litsea intensifies and highlights the lemony character with a floral touch, while the scent, aided by Pimenta racemosa, takes on a nutmeg-like, clove-like warmth, along with a certain peppery spiciness. Even elemi resin shows its lemony, bright resinous side synergistically here. The fragrance noticeably gains warmth and spiciness as it develops, overshadowing the bright citrus notes, but it can never fully extinguish them. The fruity acidity also remains intact.
