HarzRock Hallelujah

With "Casino Elixir 2.0," I was intrigued that it is a bestseller and essentially an independent (fusion) scent from Dua. So it was definitely on my list for my first order there. However, I also weakened for "Moss Br..." uh "Chypre Supreme," since I unfortunately never got to experience the classic Tom Ford that was discontinued, which is quite hard and unaffordable to find nowadays. So "Chypre Supreme" is a very successful alternative, even though I can't make a direct comparison and fundamentally didn't want to have any "dupes" in my collection long-term. However, these are all the more valid reasons to discuss this unusual green fragrance from Dua quite objectively and independently. I clearly own and am testing "Chypre Supreme" here, not the clone of "Moss Breches!"

"Chypre Supreme" brings moss together with resins - in a pretty epic and hearty battle! I expected more of a beeswax scent than a herb garden, so I didn't necessarily anticipate this power fougere. But I am all the more pleased to find it so potent and unique. I really like this cozy, rugged nature boy right from the start. The quality, density, and "blend" are sublime. Such a textured green is usually expected from Serge Lutens and Co. Dua has done a great job here on multiple levels. Because connoisseurs have also chirped to me that the scent comes incredibly close to the original. "Chypre Supreme" combines the two old-school genres Chypre and Fougere and even adds a hefty splash of gourmand qualities. And it never feels too much for me. Honey. Patchouli. But still distinctly green in my mind. But certainly not green behind the ears. An oakmoss sledgehammer! Please don't give it to boys...

Bottle: the sticker and color fit very well here - yet it often appears rather cheap and "amateurish" photoshopped with Dua.
Sillage: strong, hearty, and good
Longevity: 10 hours and much more - here Dua really almost always turns it up mercilessly!

Conclusion: "Chypre Supreme" is a top-notch, resinous, and timeless fougere full of unconditional masculinity and greenness in all its facets. High-quality, different, colossal. Sweet and bitter at the same time. Classic, almost in a Tom Ford way?!
