pure coziness

Yesterday I received another well-filled fragrance letter (I was allowed to browse through your collection again: thank you, my dear!), which didn’t quite fit into the mailbox.
Instead of taking the elevator to come to me, the mail carrier pressed this envelope quite forcefully into the mailbox slot - there hung the lovingly filled package now!
Having become wise and also selfish enough to want to receive my mail, I found the package soon after delivery - it smelled surprisingly promising.
One of the little "drops" had opened its lid; the contents were everywhere, even on the envelope.
One thing is certain: I haven't left such an intense scent trail in the elevator for a long time.

Unfortunately, it was the "Wood and Cognac" sample that had suffered, but that’s why it was naturally at the top of my testing list. Still: what a shame about the waste!

"Wood and Cognac" conveys everything that invites coziness; a stylish warm room, where a little fire invites you to linger, with dark wooden furniture, in whose polished surfaces the flames are reflected: thick carpets, heavy drapes, large bouquets of flowers in tasteful vases, and many books. Corresponding music is, of course, not missing: one of Beethoven's or Tchaikovsky's piano concertos plays softly in the background.
This impression is further enhanced by the chestnuts: they spread original and strong autumn and forest scents, which are probably also infused with a hint of oud; not very powerful, but still noticeably present.
It smells vibrantly of lively nature!
The special quality of the geranium fits perfectly; it adds its own spiciness.
And it’s quite astonishing how finely dosed tonka bean and cocoa (which I am always a bit cautious with, perhaps even overwhelmed) have been incorporated into this dark mélange.
Everything fits perfectly; except for a bit of honey - that would have been the crowning touch for me personally.
But even without honey: sandalwood conveys a hint of coziness that crowns this fragrant creation!
The invitation to settle into one of the large comfortable armchairs and stay a while is charmingly expressed here.
I gladly accept it and lean back comfortably with a glass of old, golden cognac.
In one of the suitable cognac snifters, which fit so comfortably in almost every hand; warmed well, the mysterious aroma develops, revealing golden grapes, vineyards, sunshine, and a lot of skill and love in the production!

"Wood and Cognac" stands here for pure well-being!
Why this should only be reserved for gentlemen, I do not understand at all: I do not agree with that!
So, my gentlemen! The times when tablecloths were removed and you lingered with port and cigars in the dining room, while the ladies had to disappear to the salon for coffee and tea, are thankfully over!

Therefore, ladies: don’t be shy and enjoy this extraordinary delight for many hours!
Full-bodied and with an exclusive scent development, it is a pleasure for all the senses, and a hangover will only follow if there is nothing left of "Wood and Cognac": the bottle (or the sample) is empty.
A pleasantly scented elevator and a stuffed envelope cannot give me the pleasure that this almost magical composition leaves on my skin.
That’s why "Wood and Cognac" will also land on my wish list; quite rare for me, actually.

That sounds really appealing to me! It's definitely going on my wishlist. I recently treated myself to "Sensual Blend" by Urban Scents, which is my "wood-and-brandy" scent, even though the fragrance pyramid says otherwise.

Go for it, you totally deserve the scent!
I would prefer cocoa right now too, since I'm not a fan of cognac. I don't have a comfy armchair, but the cozy couch works too :-)
Nice comment, you diligent little reader :-)

Well, I've already taken a seat in one of the comfy armchairs and made myself cozy ;-) Not with a cognac, but my homemade chocolate liqueur goes well with it too. Thank you so much for the invitation.
