Before I begin, this is my first review here so please be kind...
Where should I start... I have been a fan of Dior - Sauvage since its release, even though it is extremely mainstream, it holds a very special place in my heart and I still enjoy wearing it from time to time. This fragrance has everything that (the old) Sauvage offers: versatility, compliment factor, and the UNBEATABLE H/S.
However, this fragrance is not just Sauvage; when I first sprayed it, it reminded me much more of a mix of BR540 and BdC. The top note is less aggressive than in Sauvage, it has something elegant, noble, but unlike BR540, the sweetness is less overwhelming and rather subtle, perfectly complementing the citrusy freshness of BdC. Even with the room-filling sillage that this fragrance DEFINITELY has, it remains stylish and not intrusive.
Anyone who is a fan of either of these fragrances should definitely give it a chance; I am absolutely thrilled.
This fragrance is definitely my new signature scent from now on, Chapeau Dua!
