I think one memory jacket from Ford is enough for me. I'll be a bit controversial: the brand doesn't really do much for me. I find the whole presentation a bit over the top, and the scents... well, not my Oud genre. I definitely prefer other options in terms of quality.
I agree with you on the presentation; I'm one of the few who really don't find it attractive. There are actually some scents from the brand that I think are well done, but just not for their prices. If this were a €200 niche fragrance, I would recommend both this one and others without hesitation (even though the overall rating wouldn't change).
Somehow, I can immediately picture a glossy commercial with Gerard Butler in a leather jacket, wearing a falconer's glove, looking out into the vast desert with a strikingly melancholic masculine profile. Is that the intention, as it reads to me?
*I understand a bit less from this than from the regular BAZ. The opening immediately reminds me of Tuscan Leather; the leather note is exactly the same, but the fruit is completely missing. There’s also a bit of a shower gel freshness, which thankfully fades quickly. As it develops, it becomes drier, with incense becoming quite prominent, which then reminds me a bit of Amouage due to its strong herbal spiciness. The leather runs through it, though. At some point, there's a bit of saffron and a woody-leathery base. It's not bad; I still really like Tuscan Leather in vintage versions, and here you completely avoid the fruitiness, which is a plus. However, the opening is a bit off-putting, and I could have done without the saffron.
