Almond Tart is a fragrance that has its difficulties.
I find it quite oddly synthetic at the beginning, and unfortunately, this impression lingers for quite a while. In my opinion, the name of the fragrance is also poorly chosen. There are some beautiful scents from the house of Kalotinis.
There are also truly authentic fragrances. Unfortunately, Almond Tart is not one of them.
The scent starts, as mentioned, with a strange synthetic note. Otherwise, I perceive something very buttery and nutty. After a while, a lovely cocoa note sets in.
I like the cocoa note here in the fragrance and throughout its development the best. After the cocoa fades a bit, suddenly a strong impression of cherries comes in. Totally crazy, but that's how it is!
The type of cherry reminds me a lot of Tom Ford's Lost Cherry. I find it interesting and I like it, but I absolutely did not expect that here in this fragrance.
A creamy vanilla also joins in.
I can't give the fragrance more than 7 points due to the start, this strange synthetic note, and the not-so-pleasant nutty and buttery impression for me.
What a shame!
The fragrance is unisex and lasts about 7 hours on me.
Sillage is also perfectly fine.
I don't know Almond Tart, but I had the same issues with Cinnamon Rolls, Pear Gelato, and Lemon Tart: they all felt unbearably synthetic to me. But I guess it might be too much to expect high perfumery art at these prices.
