You're right; this one has something very fresh that almost flirts with the scents of luxury aftershave - but just almost. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick out the notes as distinctly as Floyd did.
I think I'm struggling with the oak moss in it - on me, the scent oscillates between really beautiful, masculine, outdoorsy, and fresh, almost crossing into aftershave territory... I find the base very nice... not entirely straightforward.
(With heartfelt thanks to BeJot for this special testing opportunity)
I smell a lot from the outside - it reminds me of a summer day in the greenery, with flowers, grasses, and woods, but without the typical grass/hay smell; instead, it’s complex and layered. Sometimes a light, slightly bitter yet mild oud note emerges, other times it’s vetiver, magnolia, delicate sweet spices, cloves... yet the scent remains fresh - full, but not heavy. With a bit of imagination, I could even picture a T-shirt in the scene (I admit, I have to stretch my imagination a bit for that). For me, it tends to feel more masculine over time due to the mossy-grassy and vetiver notes, but it’s certainly also intriguing for Chypre enthusiasts.
I’d probably rather sit with Fiona and her animals.
