Coconut-sandalwood isn't really my thing.

Sounds pretty good, I rarely get coconut with sandalwood...

Me too, but it also depends on which sandalwood scents I usually test. They're more of the spicier varieties.

Jaka's handwriting is unique, that's true. The newer releases have unfortunately been a bit disappointing.

It was actually my first from the brand; none of the scents are boring.

Sometimes a grain of sand can jam the gears. In your case, it's the leather.

Yes, that happens to me quite often. My nose quickly zeroes in on the distracting factor.

It's fascinating as well, but the leather bothered me a bit.

As a vacation experience, it must be lovely. As a scent?

You always have to ask yourself that with such fragrances.

I would have expected good sandalwood this time and didn't smell any coconut.

I found it very present here again, but in this case, not bothersome.

Hmm, good that you give a heads-up, because your description sounds really nice. But it seems the leather is quite overpowering, which is a shame. Once you've caught a whiff of something like that, you can't ignore it anymore.

Seems like it's almost a semi-gourmand.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
MrtangiersMrtangiers 9 months ago
With the cinnamon and that coffee note from the patchouli + creaminess from the sandalwood, you could say that. But anyone expecting a true gourmand will definitely be disappointed.

I loved it soooo much when I got to test it 🤩 Honestly, I didn't notice the leather at all; I’d have to sniff it again with that note in mind, so I can't say anything about it 🙃

*Definitely an interesting scent, but it has a major issue that I'll get to later. It starts off with earthy-sweet cinnamon, coconut-like sandalwood, slightly creamy, and a bit of patchouli vibes. After that, the oud becomes more prominent, typical damp jungle, with associations of rain thanks to the earthiness of the fragrance. The combination also gives me a coffee-like note; I was briefly reminded of "Persephone's Patchouli" by Electimuss, which also has that coffee-patchouli-cinnamon-sandalwood combo, but in a much more unnatural way. So far, so nice. But who thought it was a good idea to include a leather accord here? I can only catch it in the background, but it doesn't fit the scent at all and is distracting from the first perception in the heart to late in the base. Without the leather, I would have really liked it; as it is, it's just nice.
Thanks to Schoeibksr for the testing opportunity :)
