Yes, unfortunately, the know-how of a trained perfumer is missing. But of course, complaining about quality at this level is a bit nitpicky. Still, for that price, everything should be right.
Now the second fragrance from the house, which seems rather dull and flat. The blending doesn't seem fully developed yet. However, the quality of the raw materials is high.
Taif rose & Indian rose are known for their citrus-soapy character. The citrus notes reinforce this impression. The white flowers in the heart match the bright impression of the top notes. The transition is smooth. Gradually, it gets slightly darker with oud and a hint of warm, sensual animalic notes, which are well dosed. Indeed, there’s an impression of being both pure & dirty. What bothers me is that the notes are somewhat muted by a dull, flat layer.
Unfortunately, I only had a bit to scrape out since the high concentration had dried up. I should test it again when I get the chance, because I generally like this kind of thing and it has nice aspects, but they feel subdued.
In the retest, it's clearer to perceive. The animalic notes are present right from the start. A soapy-citrusy rose defines the opening. As it develops, it becomes darker and warmer with increasing animalic notes from animal and tropical indole, along with dark alder wood warmed by labdanum. Initially too harsh and bulky, it becomes noticeably clearer as it warms up. One should not be averse to the animalic and tropical heaviness that meets the soapiness.
Thanks to @ElAttarine for the retest.
Maybe I should give it a try!
The scent wouldn't be my thing, though.
I need to think about that now! 😉🤗
