Bespoke Perfume
Umeshu Taihai is a bespoke perfume from UCCA created by Jaka Umbaran. This was created for perfume collector ins Canada.
Top notes: Boozy plum accord (black currant, peach, Hay absolute, Saffron attar, Cognac, immortelle, Oud Yusha, Red sandalwood)
Middle notes: Jasmine, Rose, santal Neroli, coffee. Cinnamon, Cypress
Base notes: amber, Vanilla, Oud Yusha, Red Sandalwood, olibanum, chocolate, Musk Accord
It opens with a semi sweet boozy note that is also slightly bitter. If you have smelled any other UCCA perfumes, this has that unmistakable Jaka Umbaram DNA. It is somwhat earthy, floral and mysterious.
I get a fairly strong note of coffee in the opening but it fades away and opens up for more of the sweet florals and a soft sandalwood. The Oud used is Ensar Ouds Oud Yusha which is a quality, Thai oud. Nothing funky or overly animalic here.
Over all a really beautiful perfume that I am happy to have in my collection.
