Heliotrope Milkbath Universal Flowering

This opens with a slightly tart candied apricot smell paired with a sweet almond milk. It’s slightly nutty, but still creamy and milky. The heliotrope here feels like purple florals on steroids, but with all the powdery facets stripped away. It’s extremely creamy, especially paired with the almond milk, creating an image of a tall glass of purple milk. This is pastel purple personified with a side candied apricots. Now here comes the bad part. The civet. The animalic notes here read like spot on old dried urine and it ruins the scent completely for me. You get all the enjoyable facets but there’s the pee smell lingering underneath. It’s not the worst thing in the world and far from the most funky animalic note there is, but it completely soured the fragrance for me. If your nose doesn’t pick up on the civet and your skin doesn’t amplify it, this scent could definitely for you.
