Rhapsody in Mauve Universal Flowering

Not love at first sight, but real love all the same
I know it's common knowledge to not judge a fragrance based on top notes only but in the case of Universal Flowering, it is absolutely essential to keep it in mind and let their perfumes reveal themselves and surprise us.
When I first sprayed this one, I wasn't really into it. I found it harsh in a dated way.
I gave it a second chance and I'm so glad I did. It dries down quickly and on me, the rose and the mint take the front of the stage. It's floral and airy, a bit smoky and woody but not in a "it's cold outside and I warm myself beside the fireplace" way. In my opinion, the slightly green notes make it pretty suitable for hot summer days if you want to keep a moody goth vibe all year long.
Really happy I didn't let my first impression stop me from enjoying this nice perfume. Wearing Rhapsody in Mauve makes me feel confident like the main character of a 90s indie movie. An hommage to the it girls of yesterday.
