Scent of a city
After living in numerous cities, the moment of realization that my hometown is not one of my favourite cities anymore was a bit of a weird surprise. I asked myself: What makes my favourite cities so special? People! Scents!
Living among people who are kind and friendly towards the strangers is a daily motivation for me to be a better person. People with an inclusive attitude towards my odd taste in fashion and “f***-your-normal” mentality provide me with a safe space to enjoy perfumery art pieces in the midst of my daily life’s chaos.
Scent of a city is also an important factor. Each city has its own background scent. Rainy places full of plants, smell mossy and green which I like a lot. Additionally, when lots of people are wearing fragrance in public, it adds a trail of complexity to this scent creating an incentive to explore outside and socialize. I may not like all the perfumes people wear, but I always appreciate the effort they put into being themselves and enjoying fragrances. In my hyper-social moments I get tempted to run around and hug everyone who contributes to the scent of the city on my path and whisper in their ears: “Thanks for making other people’s path fragrant!” ❤️
