King of the Panty Dropper
HOLY. FUCK. And I'm emphasizing the saint. This is the first fragrance I was literally fascinated by. I had smelled GIT from Creed. Wasn't impressed for the price. Millesime Imperial, which I love, but not for the price. After these two I simply wrote off the Creed House as overpriced and the products produced as not worth it. However, I strolled through Neiman Marcus and tried to destroy the hype I was sure was hype. I was so surprised that I shouted "My God" loudly in the store. I've never smelled anything like it. I've never smelled anything like it. So incredibly unique. Inspired by Napoleon? I think it was. It smells like power. I understand that this is a disgusting statement, but it's consistent with my reaction and the inspiration of the perfume.
Upstairs upstairs: Pineapple. and fresh-cut, real, not synthetic pineapple. I detect a hint of blackcurrant.
Middle: starts smoking. I recognize birch all the way. Birch and patchouli with a touch of rose. God, it's so beautiful
Base: a base in oak moss / leather. It is said that leather is not a note, but I think the oakmoss / musk / fading fruits make a kind of leather accord. Divine. Literally.
Longevity: I have 9 hours on my skin and it was projected for 5-6.
I left Neiman Marcus with Aventus on hand to check it out with my chemistry and meet my girlfriend at the hair salon. I walked into a wall of compliments. Every woman in the salon was in awe. Leaving the salon, a male stranger came by, went back to me and patted me on the shoulder to ask what cologne I was wearing. This has never happened before in my life. I intend to buy the 4.0oz after my next payment period as well as the shaving balm. Before I smelled Aventus, I didn't think I'd be able to buy a $300 scent. But I think that's because I know that my search for my perfect / characteristic scent is over. I will always have a few staples in the collection; Fahrenheit, Encre Noire, Dior Homme Intense for romantic evenings. But I can never see that I like or feel that something suits me better than Aventus. And I must say it's a beautiful thing. This is the best fragrance I have ever smelled. Breathtakingly beautiful and seductively powerful.

The moment of truth
Do you know that feeling when you listen to music or create something and you think that "this is just phenomenal stuff, I can't wait to drive my friends out of their minds when I show this" - then at the right moment you make everybody pay attention to you and suddenly you somehow hear how it comes out and you start to perceive the bad side of the music that you have never perceived before - your critical sense kicked in and you feel slightly embarrassed now.
Well, Amouage Reflection Man feels like this, only it goes in the exact opposite direction.
I've had it for a few months now and I've been severely underchallenged. This simple, boring smell can't be the smell behind the hype I thought. After a while I started to accept it as a sufficiently beautiful scent, but unobtrusive. But then I wore it on a normal day with errands, with a stop at the gym.
As I moved between people, I suddenly felt amazing and the flowery notes that somehow went under the radar for me were in full bloom. They were there all the time and I never suspected their beauty. The actual smell was of course the same, but I got a real moment of truth in which I thought, this is exactly how I want to smell among people, this fragrance is beautiful! One of the few where I felt that the name actually made sense - this fragrance really shines in the mirror!

The power of suggestion
The power of suggestion is incredible. Perhaps everything has been said about Molecule 1 so far, but we should remember that a great marketing campaign combined with good prospects can work wonders. This fragrance is beautiful, kind of fun and can be pleasant, but a single Iso E supermolecule will always be a single Iso E supermolecule. Try to imagine that this is not called Molecule 1, it is not bottled in an extravagant, chic bottle, and no one talks about it absolutely. In my ideal world, the only way to get a bottle of my ideal "Iso E Suer" is to go to the pharmacist and fill it into empty decanters. Who would buy it? No feromone effect here, but a nice, soft, woody musky accord. A good day / office fragrance, not too intrusive, but with a good sillage. The "appearing/disappearing effect" is due to the molecular structure, so we can easily say that it is related to chemistry and not magic. Conclusion: Molecole 1 is quite ok, but if you are ugly, you can't fix the problem just by wearing this. Escentric 1 is much better and at least a perfume.

Great attraction
FINALLY! A deviation from my standard collection dry / woody / spicy, in which I accidentally placed myself.
We had the pleasure to take home some samples from Neiman's and it is FANTASTIC! This attraction.
It is warm, sweet (but not sweetish, and I don't really like sweet, but this is different). The amber / vanilla / tonka gives it a really rich and soothing dark sweetness that doesn't overwhelm at all, the benzoin gives it This smoky / frankincense atmosphere that warms up even more and rounds off the fragrance, and the labdanum gives it a dry / woody / spicy look. This combination is simply incredible. For me it has many of the same qualities as Au Coer Du Desert from Tauer .... Grand Soir, however, seems to me to be more portable and versatile.
That's prize worthy of me! This is a day that should be recorded in history, as this is far from my general woody / spicy / dry scents that I am obsessed with.
I am really beginning to like the MFK fragrance line.
