Today, we have an ancient Greek legend reborn, the Odyssey by Aaron Terence Hughes. As I mentioned in the Urban Fake post, ATH's YouTube videos have played a big part in fueling my passion for fragrances, and 'Odyssey' is an evidence of his talent. 🎩🌿
Let's talk Odyssey: This fragrance lasts long like the 10 year voyage, with the strength of a man-eating cyclops and an allure like the siren's song. Yet, it's synthetic and cheap, which reflects Odysseus's character—cunning and resourceful rather than the brave hero. In essence, ATH has done a great job fragrancifing Homer's epic poem. 🌊👁️
Capturing so many motifs in a single image was a challenge. I aimed to emulate the depths and mysteries of the Odyssey's voyage with deep blues which fade into greens and purples here and there. The strong shadows and harsh lights are also express the legendary nature of the story. 📸🔮
