Les Extraits: A New Fragrance Trilogy From Parfums de Marly

The French luxury label Parfums de Marly is expanding its portfolio with the collection Les Extraits, consisting of three highly concentrated unisex compositions.

Carios - mandarin, red thyme and tonka bean

Carios is an extremely powerful trail that breaks the rules and instantly makes and impression. The freshness of red mandarin and thyme is disrupted by the warmth of tonka bean.

The first creation, "Carios", unfolds a contrasting signature in which freshness and warmth meet.

The opening combines bergamot, pink pepper and red mandarin, accentuated by saffron. At the heart, rose geranium, red thyme and black pepper create aromatic and spicy accords, before a warm base of ambroxan, creamy tonka bean, earthy vetiver and cedar wood tones round off the composition.

Valero - Geranium, Lavender and Ambrox

Valero explores the structure of a woody fougère, stoked by a desire for purity and transmission. I was looking for a simple yet extremely structured composition: lavender, Bourbon geranium, and cypress for the aromatic structure; patchouli and sandalwood for the base notes.

"Valero" interprets the classic fougère theme in a modern, woody variation.

At the beginning, refreshing nuances of bergamot and citron reveal themselves, accompanied by the tart, cool facet of juniper. In the heart note, bourbon rose geranium and lavender merge with nutmeg and the green-resinous depth of cypress. The fragrance is rounded off with warm notes of ambroxan, accompanied by the warm, earthy depth of patchouli and sandalwood.



Eragon - patchouli, cinnamon and vanilla

Eragon was born of a desire for tension between light and depth. I worked with patchouli, vanilla, and cinnamon in a radiant, almost incandescent style to give amber new energy.

The third composition in the line, "Eragon", focuses on ambery warmth and spicy depth.

The top note combines bergamot and mandarin with cardamom and pink pepper. This develops into a heart of cypriol with smoky-earthy accents, davana with fruity-balsamic sweetness and spicy cinnamon. In the base, leather and patchouli add structure and depth before tonka bean and vanilla round off the composition softly.

The three Extraits de Parfum are available in 100 ml bottles.
