The beginning of something here
Welcome to all who stop by here and read my ramblings/opinions on all things fragrance related. I've been dealing with fragrances since I was about 18-20 years old (dating myself here). My first ever fragrance gift was from my dad and it still holds a very close place to my heart as he is no longer with us. That particular fragrance was Polo Blue. When I eventually post a review on this site about Polo Blue, forgive me in advance because I'm breaking the rules of reviewing when it comes to that one. I don't even care.
Currently, I sit with a little over 80 bottles in my collection with a TON of samples. I have a pretty decent mix between designer & niche. We all start somewhere and I started where my wallet could handle my spending limits based on the job I had at that particular time period. I started with Polo Blue, Abercrombie Fierce, and Joop. I didn't really hit the fragrance trail until a co-worker of mine introduced me to Terre D'Hermes, Vetiver Tonka, Green Irish Tweed, Ambre Narguile, and Millesime Imperial. He hooked me up by letting me smell all of these and the rest is history. I started buying niche scents left and right and I now have a decent collection. I still have a ton on my wish list (of course) but that's part of it. You smell something new every day and something else will catch your attention. Combine that with the fact that your fragrance taste will inevitably change over time, this hobby will always keep you busy.
I've recently purchased a few new scents to add to the collection. Pardon from Nasomatto (been waiting ages to pick this up), Tom Ford's Oud Wood (my sample ran out quickly and I miss smelling it), Fille en Aguilles by Serge Lutens (amazing pine scent), Bigarade Concentree from Frederic Malle (excellent, light, can't quit smelling it on my right hand currently), and Prada L'Homme Intense (I own the original and it's about to run out and I've been dying to get the flanker version). I've put in some hard work so the money is going to a good place, haha. I look forward to putting up more reviews as well as smelling more new stuff this year that will turn my world upside down. I'd love to hear suggestions of new stuff to smell and explore. That's why I do this hobby is to smell new things and see what grabs my attention and see where this journey ultimately takes me. Hope you join me for the trip.
