Three Lovelies - INTUITIVELY OBVIOUS TO THE CASUAL NOSE, 3

This is a comparison of three perfumes I recently tried that smelled similar to me. First I'll list them and their notes which are often not complete because perfumers don't like to show all their cards.

RAINFLOWER by Neil Morris

Freesia, Night-blooming jasmine, Lilac, Gardenia, Pink hyacinth, Tulip, Musk

JAPANESE SPRING woman by NadiaZ

African myrrh, Gardenia, Hyacinth, Hyraceum

KAI

Gardenia, Tropical Flowers

Ah! Mystery easily solved. It's the gardenia they all contain. In Kai the tropical flowers create a Hawaii feel --flowers, air and sea. In Jasmine Spring the Hyacinth counterpoint, the Hyraceum and the Myrrh deepen the Gardenia and create a more exotic, earthy feel. Florals and musk enticingly support the Gardenia in Rainflower but in a less breezy way than Kai and less darkly than Japanese Spring. Not sure I can pick a favorite among them. None compare to the complex reigning glory that is Gardelia, of course, but they're very nice. Perhaps Rainflower is the one.

The Gardenia Sniff Fest must have trained my nose to the scent of Gardenia without informing my brain. With this comparison, now I know what my nose knows.
