Hello, Howardjarvis, and thanks so much for sharing this insider information with us! I wonder whether you would consider posting your comment at the salon? That's where the readers are, and I am sure that they would find your insights as worthwhile as I do!

Now price and value are two different things. When we make a perfume we do not even consider price until the last moment. We create beautiful juices first with no limits on ingredients. Then we have to cost out a perfume. As most of our money goes into expensive ingredients, we feel lucky not to have to pay for advertising campaigns or fancy bottles. Usually it come out at about $2/ml or around $60 for 30mls. Is this good value or expensive ? You can only judge by the JOY it brings you. Most people use about 2 mls per week (or $4)which is great value. Don't you think this is cheaper than milk ? Cheers, Howard Jarvis, Bud Parfums.

That's pretty funny, PBF, especially since I'm the same way! I actually considered using a different example, since milk is so totally unnecessary to my existence! But in the end I settled on milk, in part because in can come in a bottle, but also because I had mentioned it in my previous post (in an excursus on the French court case)...

Anyway, thanks for the positive feedback, which is most appreciated!

A great discussion, Sherapop! Of course, my first thought when I read the headline was, "Yes, perfume is not milk. I need perfume & I don't touch milk." ;>)
