underrated gem from vs
this scent is so slept on, but this is one of my favorites from vs's core line, along with bare vanilla. it's more of a gourmand coconut than a lot of other coconut scents, which can pull really sunscreen-y/tropical. although this has a little freshness to it, it's also got so much sweet vanilla that it's wearable even in winter despite being a coconut scent. i tried it for the first time when my freshman year college roommate and i would share perfumes, since she had it, and i fell in love. i remember her and i going to meet some other friends, and one of them asking, "do you smell cupcakes?" i'm not typically a coconut lover, but this is lovely, and the performance is decent for a mist.
perfect everyday vanilla
this is perfect as an easy-reach, go-to vanilla for everyday. it's got a brightness (almost a slight bubblegum quality) that keeps it light enough for warmer weather and daytime, but the depth from the cashmere that makes it perfect for cold nights too. it's just such a cozy, sweet scent. it's nothing complex or mind blowing, but it's the kind of scent i can't imagine anyone disliking. i reach for bare vanilla or one of its many flankers as my daily scent all the time. i just wish it was stronger--for a vanilla cashmere scent, you'd think it would last longer and project more.
smoky s'mores goodness
so lovely but very light! at first, i couldn't smell anything but this actually got stronger on me over time and lasted amazingly, which was a pleasant surprise. it opens with a smokiness like by the fireplace, then smells like creamy sandalwood with a sweet and powdery quality from the marshmallow and a little chocolatey sweetness that becomes more apparent when warmed, without being excessively gourmand or cloying. even my mum, who hates perfume, enjoyed this fragrance. i wish they made this part of their permanent line though! i had to wait around 6 months before i was able to purchase mine and it's my favorite from the line!
fruity gingerbread gourmand
when i first smelled this, i didn't love it because the gum drop note is stronger than i thought it would be and i felt like it clashed with the gingerbread, but the longer i own it, the more i like it. it's a juvenile gourmand + fruity candy scent but the gingerbread accord is so warm and rich, and the gum drop note helps to brighten up the scent so it's not so heavy. it's not classy by any means, but it's a guilty pleasure kind of scent and i really enjoy it--it's perfect for cozy vibes in the winter and it's got better performance and longevity than most of the other pink mists.
sharp/synthetic pina colada
this opens with an almost cleaner-like (unlisted) sharp pineapple note that i lowkey cannot stand. sometimes it smells like a pina colada candy but other times i get that cleaner smell (maybe also an unlisted lime note?) and i just don't vibe with it. luckily it fades for the most part in the drydown to just a woody floral coconut (with just sweet rather than sharp pina colada touches) that reminds me a little bit of synthetic pineapple + coco paradise from bath and body works, which i also didn't love. overall, this was pretty disappointing tbh just bc it was hyped by reviewers and it's just alright to me. it performs and lasts surprisingly well for a summer fragrance though, so if you tend to enjoy summery scents (i don't--i just got sucked in by misleading notes and blind bought it), i could see this being a love for a lot of people.
