Forwarding parcels with perfumes from Switzerland abroad

Hi guys, I am thinking about ordering perfumes from Switzerland but the store sends only within the country. From what I checked with one forwarding company, perfumes are considered dangerous goods and carriers charge a lot for the service so it doesn't really make sense to purchase 1 bottle and have it forwarded.

Do you guys know any reliable and not crazy expensive service to forward perfumes from Switzerland abroad to EU countries?

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. Perfumes are considered dangerous goods in EU so that's the only option and it's always expensive. Some countries xray parcels and destroy them if they contain dangerous goods that were not reported as dangerous. This is why it's extremely difficult to for example do fragrance swapping outside EU.

Did you also check Italian stores? Sometimes they have perfumes that are unavailable in the rest of the EU and their shipping costs are very reasonable.

Maybe a perfume lover from Switzerland would like to order it for you, to his address in Switzerland and then just forward it privately? Yes, officially you are not allowed to send perfume, but we already do that. There is a risk, the package is checked and is not allowed through the border. It actually does not happen often. I have sent packages to Switzerland, and received packages from Switzerland (privately).

As for services that can arrange it for you - no, I don't know of any such services.

Well, the stores chose the services. One time is was GLS, the other time it was the regular postal service. Each time, the cost was around 6 or 7 euros.

In case Italian store has an option to send abroad this works as you described. But small ones often have option to deliver only within Italy. Same problem as in my first post regarding Switzerland. In such case, again there is a question if there is a recommended service of forwarding parcels with perfumes from Italy abroad.
