Assign barcode feature and fragrance variant question

Assign barcode feature and fragrance variant question 1

I just stumbled upon the "Assign barcode" feature, which is very cool!  I tried a few, and I may have made a mistake on one. As soon as a fragrance is selected from the picklist in the search field, it is automatically saved as a submission. I think it could be helpful to make the user actively hit one of two buttons to say 1) this is my selection or 2) cancel and clear the field.  Now on to my question...

A couple of the barcodes I reviewed were as-yet-unlisted concentration variants of fragrances that are listed in the database. One, for example, was a body mist version a listed fragrance.  Should we select the variety that is listed or say it is not a match? I've assumed the latter. It would be nice to be able to submit either an exact match or a "this is a different concentration of _____" match.

If a concentration isn't listed, let's just skip the barcode for now so we can keep the system simple. If you'd like to add a concentration, you can do that via Parfumo Research, and the barcode can then be assigned later. Thanks for helping with barcode assignments, it really makes the app's barcode scanner even better 😊

Thank you for the quick response!

One more question about variants: Can fragrance refill bottles and other container types (e.g., rollerball) be mapped to the original fragrance as long as the name and concentration (edp, etc.) are the same?
