Should layered perfumes count as

... Currently, when you layer two perfumes, only the primary fragrance is tracked as "worn" in your statistics. The layered perfume is recorded but doesn't count toward your worn stats. We're considering changing this - but want your input first: Option A: Count as fully worn - The layered perfume counts everywhere: worn counter, top fragrances, most worn, brand stats, etc. Basically treated the same as the primary spray. Option B: Count toward bottle usage only - The layered perfume increments your "worn X times" counter on that perfume, but doesn't appear in your top fragrances or other stats. Option C: Keep as is - Layering stays as info only, no impact on stats. What makes the most sense to you? 🤪

... We just have a lot of suggestions at the moment. If something is still marked as “new,” it doesn’t mean anything is missing. It simply means no team member has commented on it or added extra sources yet. With the current volume, the difference between “new” and “in process” isn’t very meaningful. ... Just wanna throw this out there: Parfumo should really stay politics-free. We're all here because we love fragrance ❤️, not to argue about worldviews. Plenty of other places online for that. At the end of the day, who cares what the label says? Perfume's meant to be enjoyed... and anyone should wear whatever they love. That's the whole magic of it. So pleeease 🙏 - let's keep this space about scents, bottles, and the joy they bring us.

... Shadows444 I will go through these comments, but I'm on Fragrantica with over 1,000 reviews at this point. I do appreciate it in many ways, I love the shelving features, and I think it can be fun on that forum as well. But ultimately... it seems like there's weird vibes on that forum a lot of the time. Lots of clannishness. I also do agree that the bots and AI involvement isn't a good thing, it's weirding me out. I joined Basenotes in December and I enjoy it there, it's a slower pace but people seem more welcoming. Basenotes is down right now for a server move, and I thought...'Are there other perfume websites?' I'm ready to spend a little less time overall online anyway, but it's nice to branch out. I haven't quit Fragrantica, but I want to explore other places. Can anyone maybe affirm for me that if I C&P reviews to this site as well as Fragrantica (and Basenotes) that it won't be a problem? I can totally vouch for my identity, but I don't want to write 3 unique reviews for each site. It’s your reviews, you can share them wherever you want. Welcome to Parfumo!

... If a concentration isn't listed, let's just skip the barcode for now so we can keep the system simple. If you'd like to add a concentration, you can do that via Parfumo Research, and the barcode can then be assigned later. Thanks for helping with barcode assignments, it really makes the app's barcode scanner even better 😊

Absolutely - and just to add: if a political topic genuinely relates to perfume, that's of course okay. But in general, we try to avoid political debates here. We're a perfume community first and foremost, and that's what makes this space special. 👌

Because this seems a fairly straightforward attempt to juice accounts' reputations for scamming purposes rather than "trolls" Of course you can. 😉 Parfumo takes this very seriously – and yes, what’s going on here is obviously way beyond trolling. A lot of what we do happens behind the scenes, but we’re keeping a close eye on things, tracking suspicious activity and working to secure affected accounts.

Are dupes now allowed? Why was my submission rejected?

... We recently updated our guidelines for accepting dupes, inspired by, and hybrid perfumes. Your original submission may have been rejected because it didn't meet the criteria at the time . Dupes are now allowed if they have a unique name (no number-only catalogues), don’t copy the original's name or design and avoid using protected brand names or logos. Brands may refer to the original with terms like "inspired by..." or "our version of...", but they cannot claim identical scent replication. The key rule is that if a dupe could be mistaken for the original, it will not be accepted. If you believe your previously rejected submissions now meet these criteria, feel free to resubmit them. 😉
