... What are your favourite tea-scented frags? Green tea, flavoured black tea, Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong, etc etc etc - looking for all and any teas,ei ther with straight up tea notes, or something you perceive as tea, even if it's not in the pyramid. I have samples of "Hermessence Osmanthe Yunnan | Hermès" and "Bois Datchaï | Maison Crivelli" , and like them both though they are very different. I also perceive a tea note in some berry perfumes like "Touch The Original Gold / Touch | Tous" and some patchouli perfumes like "Wild Rose Aoud | Mancera". Curious to hear about your recommendations!

Watercolour and fresh/light: "Un Jardin sur le Toit | Hermès" Another green one: "L'Eau miXte | Parfums de Nicolaï" Light and powdery (very light kumquat, so not as citrusy as lemon for example): "Le Jardin de Monsieur Li | Hermès" A very light white floral Chypre (the eau de toilette fits your request better imho): "La Panthère (Eau de Toilette) | Cartier" Powdery floral : "Ananda (Eau de Parfum) | M. Micallef" Powdery slightly spicy cocoa: "Rococò | The Merchant Of Venice" A warm fluffy amber, slightly spicy but not "in your face" : "Ambre Cashmere Intense | Parfums de Nicolaï"

It annoys me but yes, I also get hung up on silly things like names with certain connotations...which I find ridiculous because names are just marketing and often have nothing to do with the perfume composition itself; but I can't help it 🤷‍♀️ Funny though, I always read "Boy smells" as an active verb, not as in "boy smelling of something" but "boy smelling/sniffing something" 👃🌷

... I think there's a difference between what something actually costs , and what you'd be willing to pay . If I understand correctly, you're talking about the latter. Because, let's be real, nothing costs as much as the exhorbitant prices one sees. Some of the prices are blown up for this specific reason - so that people willing to pay that much get the feeling of belonging to some "elite". You're never buying just a perfume, but everything that goes with it - for some it's an illusory sense of self-worth.

... "Datura noir (Eau de Parfum) | Serge Lutens" - had a sample and thought it was too cool (in every sense of the word) for me to wear it. Kept testing it for two years always thinking- nah, not for me. Then I bought a bottle 🥰 "J'adore (Eau de Parfum Infinissime) | Dior" - had a few samples, thought the scent was boring and wore it just to geth through the samples, then grew to love and bought a bottle 🥰

VaivaK95 I kid you all not, I was waiting in line at Starbucks and a guy standing behind me buried his nose/face into my hair, then said 'mmmhhhh you smell like a snack'. the culprit was Xerjoff Casamorati Italica. That's terrifying 😨 Compliments are wonderful, strangers treating people like an object are not 😅
