...Since yome people suggested we should do more fun stuff here, I though I go ahead and "steal" a game from another wel-known perfume community. The idea is this: look at the "I own"-collection of the person who posted here before you and pick out your favorite and least favorite of their perfumes. here's an example to get it started: (Jane doe) fav: "Un Bois Vanille" least fav: "Tea for Two" your turn! :lol:

... Sherapop: Have you tried "Arsenic"? That one seems very original to me. :wink: NOOOO, I haven't!!! Oh nooo, you totally get me started on the whole TM again! My unsuccessful search for TM samples for my original reason for joining parfumo. But I moved on. Or so I thought.. :wink: :twisted: :lol:

...I really don't know what to think about Tokyo Milk. I love the way they're advertised, especially the dark series. But then, none of the dark ones I've tried seemed dark to me at all! In fact, most of the TM fragrances I've tried I found pretty generic. Which is such a shame, since I'd love to own one of these pretty bottles ;-) I'm probably with Sherapop on Excess being the best of the line, and luckily you'll get to decide for yourself soon ;-) Let us know what you think after sampling!

...I'd totally love to go and see a perfumista one day and have her create a perfume for me -- but that's probably out of my budget :-( Some of my favorite notes in perfumes are fig (the green stuff), vanilla, amber, strawberry, gajac wood, teak wood and marshmallow. It would probably smell just awful if you tried to combine them all in one fragrance :lol:

... Triplex: "Dzing!" is another dirty little thingy I'm with you on this one, Triplex. Much more agreeable than Dzing!, but nevertheless not wearable for me: "Messe de Minuit". I really like the smell as such, but wearing it would make me smell like I fell asleep during a long, long catholic sunday mass, I fear

...My impression is that parfumo is much closer to basenotes than to fragrantica. But that also means that people here are much more likely to engage in more "serious" discussions about perfume and stuff and this might well lead to a more intimate atmosphere once the international community has a few more active members. So that's something nice, non? :)

... DieNase: Flaconneur: Mine is "Sables" by Annick Goutal. The Crème brûlée of fragrances. I don't get that Crème Brûlée vibe at all. To me it es a very weird, DRY fragrance. Amazing how different perceptions may be... I have the same "problem" with this one. I'm a big fan of gourmand fragrances, but this one didn't classify and went straight in the pass-on-box Atm, I find "1270" and "Sweet Redemption" very yummy, but if you're looking for something more recognizably edible, then maybe "Les Senteurs Gourmandes - Tendre Madeleine" or "Indian Coconut Nectar" (though the latter isn' true to its name, I think. I don't really get the coconut, it's more like a cupcake with ridiculous amounts of butter cream to me)

...yep, just do it, I'm all up for some of the fun stuff they do on fragrantica. Only issue might be that the international version of parfumo might not be as lively a place yet, but I'm sure things will change :D

...I assume, waht you mean is that it smells like the sea rather than typical tropical island fragrances? If so, "Aqua Motu" is pretty much what I imagine a clear sea to smell like :-)
