The smell of the traveling fair.

... Cirque Du Soleil has a fragrance out that might be just there! I have heard very good reviews of it. https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum. .. also might consider Herod, by PdM, although this would be the traveling fair after 11pm when it turns into a Burlesque freak show.

... I'd order a watch online, book a dentist and hop off to a metropole of note where a few bottles of 'smelling-juice' will find their way into my possession. I would urge my partner to join me, as she makes all of that more fun.

... Fascinating stuff people are into :) I have a collection of Hawaii Shirts. (only those where they take the time to align the design portion on the breast-pocket piece to the print on the main panel- and only with classy motifs done well) Since starting perfumes this has waned somewhat tho. Currently I have a fascination with cast iron tape dispensers, and I'd really love to start a collection of full Dior Homme Parfum bottles but I just don't have the means :)

What are your favourite and least favourite bottle designs?

... I like the simplicity of the Bois 1920 series and some of the Gucci line, or the stark, simple but elegant Dior Homme Parfum & DHI cubes. A personal favourite is the Florabotanica florabotanica bottle from Ballenciaga that plays with colour and light from the refractive edges (edge applied red and purple/blue) plus that bold black & white dipper sleeve, a friggin work of art I say. Least favourite are the Parfums De Marley klonker caps, that easily get knocked off and can't be relied upon to lift the bottle out & over from the back corner of the cabinet. The PdM bottles themselves are classy though.

... I'm happy to find this thread here :) after a good few years on fragrantica, it feels like coming up for a breath of fresh air. Finally got tired of the perfume reviews and ratings being used as a culture-war proxy, the meaningless reviews carrying an air of vacuous quid pro quo commercialism and quite transparent partisanship. Like do we really need a review article every time some populist political figure (many, from all over..) gets a fragrance squirted out of some big corporate scent pissing robot? Citrus with a hint of fascism? anyone? nah... Happy to delve into actual fragrances with others who hold their noses above the cesspits :) Oh, and the logout button being gone to some unfindable corner possibly, was the last stroke.
