... Hey there fella, as DieNose noted, you seem to be very much into sweet amber scents. The perfumes you mentioned are the ones that are most popular among young people in their twenties, and the notes you described are very similar to "Ultra Mâle | Jean Paul Gaultier". I can suggest these alternatives, which you could also order online at Notino, with excellent prices and original perfumes. If you can, don't miss out on ZARA's perfumes, like "Gourmand Leather N° 0059 | Zara", but there are plenty that you might like with a very affordable price below €25. I suggest the classic "Le Mâle (Eau de Toilette) | Jean Paul Gaultier", the new "Scandal pour Homme | Jean Paul Gaultier" but perhaps a little expensive. I will write more if others come to mind. Good luck!

... Hey there, any of you still remember "Nino Cerruti pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Cerruti"? A magnificent amber, woody, flowery, enveloping scent, that beautiful sensation of warm thrill that a wool sweater transmits on a cold winter day. Released in 1979, I used it in the mid-80s, when I was in my early twenties. If I close my eyes I can still smell it, and all the memories related to that time of my life. Have you ever come across another perfume that reminds you of it or looks like it? I don't know what I would give to be able to wear it once again!

... Kreaemdon, thanks for mentioning Les Signes de Grès. I've got the three of them but did not mention them since they are not famous as they should be. Three hidden gems.  BTW, do you know that you can use the hashtag for mentioning a perfume present in the database? Just write the # followed by the name of the perfume, and you will get a list of matching fragrances. For instance, #kajal turns into "Lamar | Kajal". Have a nice day/evening/night, -Elysium

What are your favorite Caron scents?

...Hey there, I have got three Caron colognes, namely: - Yuzu Man, the first that joined my collection, zesty and dry - L'Anarchist, the original reddish flask made of brass, that smells like blood - Pour un Homme, the last, but not least, a blast of lavender and vanille They are so different one another that I cannot choose one as the best. Still, I am looking for Yatagan and Le 3eme Homme.

Whenever I get a notification for a new review that is coming from the German site, I see how many awards are present on both reviews and pictures published there... :cry: surely, German followers are much much more than other foreign people. What is your favorite vetiver fragrance?

...The most magnificent vetiver to me is Guerlain Vetiver, a citrus vetiver, which is followed by Malizia Uomo Vetyver (so cheap and so great), the Cacharel pour Homme, a green and herbal vetiver. Recently, I came across Encre Noir that I am fond of, an inky and smoky vetiver. What else? I have no clue about the plenty of vetiver colognes out there, yet the ones I have mentioned have a dominant vetiver note.

...Hi CKim, First things first, since you are a newbie, I suggest you start from cheapie colognes, so as to get familiar with families and notes. Then, you will move towards more expensive gems, no matter if designer or niche. A perfume is something so intimate and subjective that might please to someone and disgust to someone else. That said, we are approaching the Spring season and that deserves floral and aromatic notes. You said cedarwood is a note you like... do you mean the "pencil sharpener" accord that often comes with cedar? If yes, I suggest you test ZARA Sublime Cedar, it is an EDP that cost around 25euro. Or, I am fond ok D&G K, the latest release, it is an EDT, but cedar is really perceivable in it. Ultimately, even YSL l'Homme is a good one cedar-based, a bit expensive. Please, go out, check some fragrances and take note of which one you like or dislike, and then write them here. We will have a better idea of what might suit you. Take care, Elysium

...Ciao Alex, Sono contento che ti sia piaciuto, per quel che costa ne vale davvero la pena, è ottimo come persistenza e non ha nulla da invidiare ai due fratelli più costosi! :? Suppongo che la sensazione di rossetto sia una questione di pelle. Su di me prevale l'iris,dall'inizio alla fine, che lo rende simile al profumo del rossetto e gli da quel tono talcato (powdery) tipico di Dior Homme. Invece su di te probabilmente prevalgono altre componenti che lo rendono simile a Valentino Uomo. D'altronde, sia DH sia VU sono figli di Polge, e quindi una similitutine di entrambi ci può stare. Se dovessi sentire o ricordare un altro profumo con queste caratteristiche te lo farò sapere. Curiosità, dove abiti? OK, non voglio tediarti oltremodo. Have fun, Gianluca

...Alex, hi. You are welcome! Please, read my review about ZARA 9.0. It based on iris and orris, which give it a lot of "lipstick" flavor. It is affordable, longlasting, and reminds both DIOR HOMME and VALENTINO UOMO. Have fun, Gianluca (male) :D
