How much do opinions of influencers mean to you?

... Though I thoroughly enjoyed Turin and Sanchez's books I don't value their opinions over my own perceptions. I find that our opinions differ often.  I loved watching Katie Puckrik's videos back in the day, but also found significant differences of opinion with her. Same with Chandler Burr.  Same with all bloggers and reviewers in a paid platform. There are a few of the older perfume reviewers from Fragrantica who really influenced me over 15 years ago when I was starting out, but at this point there's pretty much no one I'd trust for a blind buy except for specific perfume community friends who know my personal taste well.  To be honest I have a fair bit of distain for some of these folks who have significantly monetized their reviews on social media, especially those who seem to have little to no real understanding or concern composition or materials.  When people find out I'm in to fragrance and try to bond with me about Demi Rawling or Jeremy Fragrance it is all I can do change the subject away from influencers so I can stay polite and not 'yuck their yum.'

Ringtale "Dioressence (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" from a sample, had this in the past, but it got lost with relocation, saw it standing in the shop and remembered how I loved it and wanted to see how I feel about it now. Oh it is so gorgeous and now wondering if I should cancel my order for "Coco (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel" and buy this instead. It is more radiant on my skin and I love how it is more green from what I think could be galbanum, but that isn't listed. It's a bit like "Miss Dior (Eau de Toilette Originale) | Dior" only less powdery and a bit more unisex and with way better performance.  On the other hand it is very "Givenchy III (1970) (Eau de Toilette) | Givenchy" -ish with a bit of "Diorella (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" added. Just went to the shop to get it and the spray from the full bottle is even more lovely than from the sample.  @Ringtale    You have great taste!  I can't understand why no one talks about "Dioressence (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" anymore.  I think niche has become such a distraction for folks that many or most perfume lovers remain near completely ignorant of the majority of the classics.  If you haven't tried the "Dioressence (Esprit de Parfum) | Dior" you absolutely must, I think it's the best version all the the bath oil was great too.

I dug through my cabinet and found my Hanae Mori "Butterfly / Hanae Mori (1995) (Parfum) | Hanae Mori" which for me is the best expression of the scent with the parfum being richer and thicker than the other concentrations while still retaining a tart fruitiness.  It's one of my favorites for cold, drizzly weather as there something so optimistic about it's plucky pinkness.

... Ursaw Testing "Encelade | Marc-Antoine Barrois". It's lovable, but I'm not sure I see the connection to the namesake moon in it. It gives me more of a   Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron vibe , if anything.   @Ursaw this is so highly specific I feel like I've got to sample it now out of sheer curiosity
