... Thank you for your reply Lempi 😊. I think your answer is plausible and that would set my mind at ease that I will like the new juice as well. I think my taste and hormones have changed making me love it instead of liking it. I am always afraid to be disappointed by new juice but I am confident my bottle will be loved when my decant runs out.

... I have had a decant of "Carnal Flower (Eau de Parfum) | Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle" for at least 7 or 8 years. I liked it then but I didn't love it. I recently revisited it and fell head over heels in love with it. I bought a new bottle recently but I haven't tried it yet. Now I am wondering if I love it more now (the decant) because it has macerated for the best or if perhaps my hormones have changed. Has anybody had the chance to try a more recent batch compared to an older batch? I am just afraid that the new juice will not live up to the decant gorgeousness.

... I have never noticed that. However, I have noticed that a fragrance can change depending on the temperature. Try heating up a fragrance on your skin (wrist for example) by blowing warm (not smelly) breath on in and then immediately smell it when it is still warmed up. That way I have discovered that certain scents bloom in hotter weather. That being said, of course different parts of your body are hotter than others. Maybe that is a factor (and perhaps hormones)?

... I am not specifically a tea note fan. I had but sold both these fragrances but for a tea note enthusiast they were great: "Aqua Allegoria Teazzurra | Guerlain" and "Néroli Outrenoir | Guerlain" .

... I agree that that is a difficult question. My taste is all over the place. I do have a great love for fragrances that contain resins, amber, incense. I also love good classics. If you take a look at my collection you will see that I am a true omnivore. I do not like or love everything but my taste is very diverse.

... DRKSHDW Seltzerpapi @DRKSHDW I enjoyed "Sunshine Woman | Amouage" quite a bit but ultimately decided it wasn't quite right for me. One of the comments I read about it on that other awful website in reviews is that many people thought it smelled like cigarette smoke, which I didn't get at all. I mean, if cigarettes smelled that that perfume I wouldn't mind people smoking around me. LOL LOL😄 I honestly think some reviewers on that god-awful website (Fr&g*..%ca) write reviews for perfumes they've never even smelled. They see a tobacco note and immediately scream “cigarettes!” And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those reviews were written by bots. So… yeah. I have to agree with you there. I have seen remarks like that about several perfumes, for example "Tobacco Rose | Papillon Artisan Perfumes" . For the life of me I cannot smell anything like cigarettes or tobacco. Liz Moores has even said in an interview that there is no actual tobacco note in there. She just simply wanted to recreate the scent of a specific rose, together with the soil it grows in.

... I used mine up years ago but one of the best lemony fragrances in my opinion is "Escale à Portofino | Dior" . Really lovely. Maybe I should get another bottle 🤔

My absolute favorite is Une Rose "Rose Tonnerre / Une Rose | Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle" but I also love "Tobacco Rose | Papillon Artisan Perfumes" , "Rose Barbare | Guerlain" , "Santal Royal (Eau de Parfum) | Guerlain" and for a lighter rose "Rose Essentielle (Eau de Parfum) | Bvlgari" .

... I wear fragrances to bed nearly every day. I tend to select fragrances that have a soothing effect on me or a cooling or refreshing scent when it's really hot. It's hard to streamline my choices to types of fragrances because within each type of fragrances there are some that make me restless at night. When it's a bit colder I love scents like "Anubis | Papillon Artisan Perfumes" , "Bois Mystérieux / Songe d'un Bois d'Été | Guerlain" , "Jubilation 25 Woman (Eau de Parfum) | Amouage" but also "Hypnotic Poison (2014) (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" and for example "Angel (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler" or "Angel (2011) (Eau de Toilette) | Mugler" edp (old formula). When it's hot and especially with a high humidity "Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca | Guerlain" and Guerlain's Eau de Guerlain are my top choices.

... I have been on a Fréderic Malle kick lately. The last week I have been wearing Carnal Flower frequently, alternating with Une Rose, Iris Poudre and Portrait of a Lady. I have been wearing Carnal Flower today but now it has faded. Contemplating what to wear for the night 🤔

... Hi, For years I have been a member here and it is about time to introduce myself. I am from the Netherlands and over the last ten years my collection of perfumes has grown quite a bit. My taste in perfumes is quite diverse. I enjoy both mainstream and niche perfumes. The last couple of years I have been on a rough patch and even my love for fragrances became dormant. Recently, my old passion has come alive again and I am enjoying my collection again as much as I used to do. Since my collection got really out of hand I have started downsizing but recently I have also acquired some old and new loves. Currently on a Fréderic Malle kick again.
