Do you ever take a break to help your senses?

... Mitchcraft Castortroy Recently I sold 20 different Louis Vuitton sample fragrances, I also sprayed all of them to see if I wanted to keep them or sell them. My nose was runny, overstimulated and I could not or did not want to use any fragrances for days after that... I also got a cold recently, and my nose could not smell anything, not bacon or any fragrances. I even tried 5 sprays of Prada Homme EDT, 3 Eros EDT and 3 sprays of Hermes h24 on my neck, one Sauvage EDT on my arm, Tom Ford BO EDT and Luna Rossa Org EDT on my other arm, even this I could not smell. Its time for a new break I think. @Castortroy Yeah definitely take a break. There is no point wasting your fragrances if you can’t smell them and afterwards when you finish the break you will have a renewed ability to smell certain notes that you will have just forgotten were actually a part of certain fragrances. It sounds like what happened when i had COVID is happening to you and it wasn’t until after a full month of wearing no fragrance did I get back the absolute full ability to smell fragrances the way they did prior to COVID and that break. The best way to know if you are completely cured is to take a fragrance you have known all your life and can never forget what it smells like. In my case "CK One (Eau de Toilette) | Calvin Klein" was my go to fragrance as when I have a cold or bad days where I can’t smell certain notes it is often fruits or citrus type fruits that are the first to go. So, CK ONE is a fragrance I have lots of strong memories tied to it for many occasions so it’s definitely the one I know the smell of. If you have something like that tied to lots of memories make that your test fragrance like it was mine. Honestly you are in for an amazing experience when you come out the other side of this 😊. I could smell one of my strongest perfumes a bit if I put my nose really close to my arm, Tom Ford BO EDT, super sweet and rich. However it did not project at all. I have not put on any fragrances today, just cleaning and preparing for new years 😄 Selling all those frags and buying 35 new frags in december was just too much for me I guess, some time off is def needed.

... Mitchcraft Castortroy For me it was Chanel BDC EDP, I could not smell anything even if I sprayed 5 times on my arm or neck, not for a second. Tried the same in the store, same problem. The EDT though, is very fresh and long lasting on me. @Castortroy After you have finished your break you’re taking from fragrances please try the "Bleu de Chanel (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" again as early as possible once the break is finished and see if you can smell it then. I am curious to know if it is that as I had the same happen to me with "Boss Bottled Unlimited | Hugo Boss" . I honestly thought there was nothing coming from the bottle and with it being a tester bottle it had went bad, but then I tried again and could smell it. I have seen a lot of people say the same though. That the EDT performs better but EDP smells better. Having only smelled the EDP I can’t compare though. GL with the break though. 😊👍 I will revisit the EDP later for sure, it cant be all hype can it? 😅 In the meantime I will enjoy the EDT, although its not something I would wear in the cold winter months of Norway at the moment.

... I keep a lot of boxes, In case I wanna sell them later. But I have all of them in a cabinet on mirror plates, the perfume bottles really are a work of art. I enjoy seeing all the different sizes, shapes, colors and brands together.

Which Prada Luna Rossa projects the most? Org. EDT vs Black

... JAD777 To answer your question: the original "Luna Rossa (Eau de Toilette) | Prada" projects more than "Luna Rossa Black | Prada". Neither of them are projection beasts but the fresh lavender and mint projects more than the sweet / powdery whiff you'll get from "Luna Rossa Black | Prada". I love them both and since they serve completely different occasions I wouldn't want to miss either in my collection. Hope that helps. 😁👍 Thanks! I am now the proud owner of both. Tried the original EDT last night, very fresh and minty. Im gonna try the Black later today
