How much time do you take before you post a review?

... I don't think you should delete your review, an edit/update is more useful for you and the readers. I write reviews in case I feel like I've got something meaningful to say, and the others haven't described exactly how I feel (in better words). For some perfumes that I love/hate, one sampling is enough. How many hours? I don't check the time, but I think after 3 hours minimum. This would be for scents that fade away after an hour or two. If for no other reason, I wait for at least half a day so that I can fairly rate their longevity and sillage. For some, I test them a few times because I'm not really sure how I feel about them after a single wear.

... I don't keep them in the original packaging unless I plan to swap/sell them soon and I don't use them. If I use them, it's a waste of time putting the fragrance in and out all the time, plus the box gets damaged... I don't care much about boxes in general, but some are too precious, such as "Light Blue pour Homme Summer Vibes | Dolce & Gabbana". I don't have a place or a shelf where they are visible, I keep almost all of them in a closet, so they are already in a dark and cold place.

... By accident, I just tested it for the first time 2 hours ago :) It's an official tester from the store, bought perhaps several months ago. It was horrible at the beginning, I felt nauseous. Funnily, I checked the reviews here, and the one just below yours describes well how I and that person feel about it. He also used the word "inharmonious", just like you did now. An hour and something later, it became much more tolerable. But while he finds it appealing, I find it dull. Yes, it's slightly different than tons of other contemporary sweet fragrances, but I just am already tired of them at this point. I don't think I helped you, though. Perhaps you tested it in different conditions (season? indoor/outdoors) the last time? Sometimes we react differently to the same smell, but it looks like the change is quite radical in your case. I think you should search for an older batch for comparison. It's a popular fragrance, I am sure you won't struggle much to find it. A little update: It's been 3 hours or so now, and it's almost a skin scent already. I tested "Invictus Platinum | Paco Rabanne" simultaneously on the other hand. At first, Elixir expectedly obliterated it in terms of sillage, but Invictus has weakened just a bit since the opening, and now they are about the same.

Fresh , Green Parfum for men ?

"Vetiver (Eau de Toilette) | Guerlain" - this one came to my mind first, although I personally don't like it at all (I tried it 15 years ago, I don't know if they change the scent, or the bottles only. I tried the one in the last photo when you click on the perfume info). I like these two: "Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisée | Guerlain" "Eternity for Men (Eau de Parfum) | Calvin Klein" I haven't tried it, but I think it's fresh and green: "Guerlain Homme (Eau de Parfum) | Guerlain" (again, the version from 15 years ago).

... There are tons of fake perfumes on Ebay. I recently asked a seller if he can take a photo of the batch code, and he flat out told me his perfumes are not genuine. But ebay still allows such sellers to continue... They have tons of positive reviews as well, maybe 2 or 3 that say the perfumes are fake. Those few negative reviews always say more than hundreds of good ones haha. Back to the topic, I found "Fahrenheit 32 (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" on a local second-hand accesories site. It was a blind buy, but I had a good feeling about it. I found it unique smelling and heavenly. I randomly bumped into it again just a few days later for a crazy price in a FB group. Of course I grabbed it as soon as I saw it haha

... Agreed. I find one positive thing about the sold items being still there, although I imagine it's certainly not why the sellers keep them: some leave the price after selling the item, and this helps other sellers and buyers seeking that perfume to see what the "market" price is. Generally, the souk is great because it offers the chance to chase a particular perfume, which is something not available on other sites. However, we can't see the picture before clicking, so if I want a whole bottle, I don't want to click on those ads selling leftovers.

... Ok, I am using the local version, not an English one, there is no politics there. Yes, I agree that it would be best to avoid politics on such sites as much as possible. Edit: I just found some discussions on reddit. It was actually a collective leftist meltdown because of the banners posted there*, which can be found on the majority of other websites of any kind I am sure they have no issue with (guess why). Anyway, I will refrain from discussing politics from now on here because I will become a part of the problem. *I noticed a Julian Assange one recently, it was the only one that I've come across. I thought it was so weird and out of place.

... In my language, it's an outdated term that is not used in geography or culture anymore. It is pretty much restricted to perfumes, I don't even hear "oriental cuisine" or any similar expressions. I don't think the term Oriental is used to refer to people in any language in Europe, correct me if I'm wrong. Asians (in Asia) would probably be dumbfounded if you asked them if they found the term offensive. Westerners in Anglophone countries (and those under the significant influence of Anglosphere) are offended on their behalf. Personally, I don't care either way. It's fair that you ask in an open discussion, but as we have seen with such cases across any sphere of society, if you bend your knee now, it will inevitably create more problems for you in the future. If people agree there is a more precise/less confusing word to replace the term oriental, then change it, ofc.

I've always used fragrantica since it has a local version and it's visually much more appealing. But the mods started to suck, and there is more activity in FB groups nowadays.

... For a 150, you can buy Allure Homme ;) Bvlgari Aqua would be a safe choice I think. Hawas for Him Rasasi. If you like Le Beau Le Parfum, check out other JPGs or Carolina Herreras. But generally, just order samples or go to the store and ask. Tastes differ greatly. For example, at least 3-4 perfumes listed above, I'd never recommend them to a teenager.

... Acqua di Gio, followed by Light Blue and some of its flankers. I love them both/all, but Acqua di Gio lasts 10 mins on me. Tom Ford Costa Azzura and few others in the same type of bottle are criminal for the price.
